This is the first control wheel I/we started with. On vacation in our motorhome in 1997, passing through Mojave, Ca, I bought this from Tracor who was doing teardowns of CAL 727's. I was newly retired from UAL, and wanted a wheel for my wall. I didn't care that it wasn't from a UAL plane, I was just glad to have it. The rest is history.

D.B. Cooper 727

Control wheel from the D.B. Cooper hijack plane. As part of a "lot" of parts we bought, we accidentally acquired a pair of wheels from a 727-100, tail # N467US. It turns out to be the plane old D.B. used to try the yard-dart trick with his head. We consider the set to be a genuine treasure.
